Open Positions
I have openings for a number of positions to work with me at Nanyang Technological University (NTU) in Singapore.
NTU is a world-class research university (ranked 7th, 9th, and 20th in the world in computer science by the most recent ARWU, QS and THE rankings, respectively) situated in the vibrant and cosmopolitan city-state of Singapore. English is the main language of Singapore.
PhD Students
I am always looking for talented and motivated PhD students to work with. Applicants should have a good bachelor's degree in computer science, or a closely related field (e.g., mathematics, engineering, etc.).
Although PhD applications are handled through a central application portal at NTU, you should contact me before applying if you think you might want to work with me. Note that the application deadlines indicated online are often flexible. Please email me with:
- a copy of your CV, and
- a few sentences motivating your interest.
Successful candidates can expect a generous tax-free stipend, full tuition fee coverage, travel funding to top-tier conferences, and eligibility for on-campus accommodation at subsidised rates.
Postdocs
I sometimes have openings for postdoctoral positions. This depends on my funding situation at a given time, which changes frequently, so if you are interested please email me with a copy of your CV to check if I have an opening.
Applicants should have a PhD in computer science, and a strong track record of work in an area related to my research (broadly construed).
Successful candidates will be offered a globally competitive salary and benefits package, as well as travel funding to top-tier conferences.
Research Assistants and Interns
I take fully-funded undergraduate and master's interns to work with me through the NTU Global Connect Fellowship programme. If you are interested in working with me through this programme, it is a good idea to email me so that I am aware of your application.
In limited cases, I will also consider hiring full-time research assistants. These positions typically require a commitment of at least six months. Please follow the same application process as for PhD students above.
